About the PI
Venkataramana (Ramana) Sidhaye, is an Associate Professor in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Ramana received her BS in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University and continued on to receive her M.D. from the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University. After she completed her residency at Northwestern in Internal Medicine and an additional year as a chief resident, she came to Johns Hopkins to start her fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. During this time she joined the lab of Dr. Landon King for a research post-doctoral fellowship. Following her fellowship, she stayed on the faculty at Hopkins.
Alongside her clinical and research work, Ramana is also the Associate Director of the Physician-Scientist Pathway at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Osler Residency Program. She is involved in the recruitment, retention, and training of physician-scientists amongst residents in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine through her position as associate direction of the Physician-Scientist Program.
Ramana enjoys giving back by mentoring and training. She is currently a research mentor in the NIH sponsored short-term training program to increase diversity in health-related research.
